Donna's Story
Life
My husband, Gabriel, is a retired Master Mariner from Norway. We met when he was loading lumber in my hometown of Nanaimo, BC, Canada, to be shipped to England and Germany. We have been together since 5 August 1992. He is now retired from the freighters and works with a friend renovating houses whose owners want new doors and windows. Gabriel makes all the screens for the new installations business.
Family
I have 2 daughters, Renee,(Dan) and Robyn, 3grand children, Riley, Coral, Kaleigha.
I have found that life really is a highway with curves and bumps in the road.

Very much a part of the immediate family. Two chihuahua's and a Russian Blue cat with attitude.
My Job
Im retired from dealing with the public on a constant basis, (city bus driver). Now disabled and unable to work. I have had to readjust my thinking to more mundane things, like the house and yard maintenance.
Hobbies
I knit, quilt, and make custom beaded book covers. I have also painted but don't do this very much anymore. Too many other things to get my fingers into.
Gabriel and I travel around Vancouver island in our RV, with all the animals and sometimes the g'children.
