Donna's Story

Life Graduated from U Mass with a BS zoology and minor secondary education. Got married in 1969 and later adopted two kids. Taught high school and middle school for 11 years.. Changed my job and worked for a company for 20 years that managed retirement plans for states, hospitals, schools and non-profits. I enrolled employees and sold life and long term care insurance, mutual funds and IRAs I moved from New Hampshire 2003 to Florida for a new job with my employer. My...Expand for more
husband died from cancer in 2005 after we moved to Florida. .I am retired now and still riding my horse and competing in 25 mile endurance trail rides. I have 4 grand sons.. My son and daughter are both living in Florida. I dated the same man for over 8 years. Luckily he was a retired jockey and trainer and was willing to put up with my time spent riding and competing. I took care of him in home hospice from congestive heart failure for a year. He passed away May 2019.

Started out to do the FITS 25 mile endurance ride yesterday looking good. Got lost ( a common occurance) and Marquee had problems with the heat and humidity. We ended up doing about 14 miles and then pulled from competition

My son Brian, my boyfriend and I went for a walk today around the neighborhood. This is the first time Tom has been out just for a walk since he went into Hospice. He took a nap when we got home. We sometimes go shopping. H
