Donnalea's Story
I have been in the Travel Industry for the past 30 years. I am married to Greg and we have 3 fabulous children. Greg and I founded a not-for-profit charitable organization called Hands Across the Nations. HATN enables communities in Mali, West Africa and Bolivia, South America to have access to water, education, health, recreation, Shelter and skills' training. As a result of this effort, I received the lifetime honor of being the 1st travel agent in history, and one of the rare Canadians to be a given the title godmother to Royal Caribbean's largest ship...Expand for more
, 'Liberty of the Seas.' This honor included a large donation to our charity and onboard recognition and awareness to our charity. The role of the godmother is to bless the ship with the traditional champaign smashing on the ship's hull, a verbal blessing and lifetime committment to watch over all who sail on the ship. This maritime tradition is greatly reverred by all who sail the seas.
I continue to working in the tourism industry at Marlin Travel - Shops on Steeles 905 882 6377 and work alongside my husband as we continue our charitable work with HATN.
