We always had some type of music going, but mostly a combination of country and gospel. Relatives would visit and sometimes a music session would just happen. We always had some type of music playing while farming. My granddad taught me some old country banjo picking and my grandmother had me in the local church choir at an early age. She taught me all the different vocal levels, singing soprano, alto, tenor and bass. As I grew, my vocals blossomed the best in the alto/tenor levels. I took piano lessons for 9 years, playing more classical songs than pop. I also took a year of guitar lessons. As I went through school, I continued singing in school chorus, including solos during concerts. I was selected several times to the All County Chorus, a collection of the best vocalists in the county. I performed in school plays singing lead roles. As time went on and life happened, I was taken in a different direction from music. For most of my life I played some type of baseball starting out in littl...Expand for more
e league, through high school and ending up with the opportunity to play with the Baltimore Orioles. I joined the Army, and there I traveled around the United States playing All Army Softball. After my softball career, I decided to try my hand in drag racing. It was fun, but not fulfilling, which lead me back to my music. In 1992, I married Susan. She has encouraged me to get back into my music. So I started singing again. I picked up the guitar and banjo and started playing. I also started playing the piano. And with all that happening, I found my way to Nashville. After recording a demo CD in Frederick Maryland, a coworker Billy, introduced me to Paul and Tre' Corley of Oak Tree Productions in Hendersonville, Tennessee. They listened to my demo, and decided to take a chance on me and so I recorded my first professional album as an independent recording artist containing 10 original songs. Also in Nashville, I started singing in some of the local clubs and met some very talented people who also had encouraged me to continue on with my music. My debut album, 'Livin' My Dream' was released March 2010. Since the release of Livin' My Dream, I have had continued success and my music is currently heard in several countries over the Internet and clear channel radio stations. I have been in and out of Nashville, singing and also making appearances at local places around Maryland. In November of 2010, I met with associates of Castle Records in Nashville. They listened to my music and offered me a contract to record with them. I started a new project in February 2011. The anticipated release of a new EP is slated for early summer of 2011.".
