William's Story

Life I'm sure not many people remember me, but I've been married to my FV high school sweetheart for 29 years and have four great kids 21-28. I am a proud G'mpa of 2, 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter for now. We relocated to the IE 15 years ago and don't miss the congestion (I do miss the weather) My kids seem to make friends with other FV graduates, as a matter of fact my oldest son married a girl whose mom graduated from FV in 77. ation. I'm still not convinced teaching is for me. I really enjoyed my college experience, just wish I would have tried it years ago. Military Whoooha! Seabee's. I had a mid life crisis at 36 and enlisted in the seabee's. I literally had a blast. We were able to shoot and blow up a variety of things. I loved anything that could shoot multiple rounds a minute. Didn't go very far- Boot camp in New Orleans and off to Pendelton, March and Hunter Liggett. I guess I got out just in time- My unit went to Iraq 6 months after I left.....a little to close for comfort.
