Hi, everyone! After high school, I became a secretary, got married, and moved to Columbus, Ohio, where I was an assistant bookkeeper for a large department store. When that marriage didn't work out, I moved back to North Haven and got my old job back as a secretary. I got an associates degree from Middlesex Community College and a BS in biology from Southern Connecticut State. I remarried and we moved to Portland, Oregon. Moses Lake, Washington, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and back to Moses Lake for my husband's job. And, yes, I did experience the eruption of Mt . St. Helen in 1980. Moses Lake was one of the hardest hit areas with ash from the volcano. Now, that was different!! I had a son in 1981 and a daughter in 1984. We then moved to Clarkston, Washington, again for my husband's job. I went back to school and earned a teaching certificate in science from Lewis-Clark State College. I was a biology teacher for the local high school, taught in the alternative school and ran the after school credit-makeup program. One more move, in 1991, to Spokane, Washington, where I earned a masters degree in teaching with an additional endorsement in special education.
