Doreen's Story
I guess you can say, life is good. I have been blessed in more way than imaginable. Probably not the way you may be thinking.. i'm not filthy rich or anything like that, but I have had some really bad times.. and now I am enjoying the wonderful time. I got out of high school, earned a two year degree. Nothing major, just unsure of what my goal was. I traveled from job to job, and during those travels, fell head over heels for my first husband. Yes, i'm sure by the code word "first" it didn't end up pretty. Things were really bad then, but that ended. when that ended I found myself traveling around. i moved to Texas, visited oklahoma, carolinas.. where ever. I guess you can say, I was experiencing things I had not experienced before. different states, different ways. I loved it. Of course with the events of 9/11, it hit hard. too many of my loved ones...Expand for more
moved on and left me behind. I went on, like everyone else. I eventually moved to florida, and met up with a wonderful man, who loves me for me. I also found out what i am good at. Law enforcement. who would of thought? not me.. not in a million years.. but I'm pretty good at it. I am proud to be a deputy and there is nothing better than putting the bad guys away. I have a nice sized house. I am also being blessed with a child, a little one on the way. who will be due on 12/25/08. it took me a while to find these precious things in life, but I am so glad I never gave up on anything. I am glad I enjoyed myself while I could. I am also glad I suffered through the hard times, because these good times have never tasted to sweet. I guess it's true when they say.. sometimes you have to walk through mud to get to the green grass.
It's all good with me.
