Dorelle's Story
Life
Four years of college in upstate NY helped me fall in love with this area. I graduated from Hartwick College in 1973 with a Bachelor's in Nursing, found a job at the local hospital as an ICU RN, married a local boy from Oneonta, NY. Built a house in 1976 in Worcester, NY where my husband was a teacher. Two sons, born in 1980 and 1985, Bryan (now a mechanical engineer in Rhode Island) and Matthew (a junior in computer engineering at RIT). Divorced in 1989. Found a great guy, Sid Chase, in 1993, married again in 1996. Helped him restore an 1820 Federal house (he'd already dismantled and moved it 13 miles or so), where we now live...Expand for more
.
I'm working in Post-Anesthesia Care, certified in same, as well as Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia Nursing. Fox Hospital is a small town hospital rather than large medical center. Patient centered, or at least we try.
Sid is a pipe organ builder. Yeah, the kind you hear in church. Tunes, repairs, upgrades pipe organs.
No one left in Silver Spring. My folks both died in 1998 and I sold the house and contents. Haven't been back since then.
Visited Donna Dailey Robinson and Wendy Elliott Hamilton in Denver while at an American Institute of Organbuilders' Convention in Colorado Springs.
Life is busy and full of fun things.
