Doris's Story
Finally got my dream of showing dogs. Raised and showed Rhodesian Ridgebacks for 15 years. Just lost last of my line this summer. Retired from 30 years pet grooming, now sitting on my ahem... teleinterview people for their life insurance medical history. Trying my hand at raising meat and fiber goats...NO the fiber is not in the diet. It's Angora goats, use their hair for spinning and weaving/knitting.Boer goats for the meat. Have the spinning wheel and carding machine which I will be tackling this winter.
I'm Grandma DoDo now.. LOL..a 14 year old and ALMOST 4 year old.
Parents and family still hanging around Morton. My daughter graduated from Bradley and is living in Illinois now. So I enjoy frequent visits home.
I just filled out some of the questions and answers section.. There's no "OTHER" spot...there's a lot...Expand for more
of 'other' in my life--like the 5 ft black snake in the chicken coop, Pet Chicken "Bast*rD Chicky" who survived 2 dog attacks, numerous raccoon and possum raids and finally succumbed to the fox. The groundhog that lived under the farm house, the HUGE spider that hid out in my slipper -- which met a Sudden SCREAMING end!! OH, yeah..that was me screaming--and I do hunt.. sort'a... well basically the 5 ft snake in the coop...took a few 22's in the feed pan, water bucket and dirt...but I GOT HIM!!!--with the rake finally!!
Redecorating the other house and having fun road trips with my sister where we missed our exits because we're discussing decor ideas--That woman can design on pocket lint!!And I'm really upset there was no spot for antiquing and garage saling!! Why Not--I'm sure that's a favored pasttime of many....
