Doris's Story

Hi! It's been a long time. I really enjoyed our fiftieth reunion. What have I been doing all these years? I married in 1947 aman named Sage. We had two daughters, Barbara and Christine. Barb has a daughter who presented me with my first (and only) great grandson. He is awesome. Chris has a son and a daughter. Neither are mariried yet. I worked at the University of Puget Sound for almost 30 years. I retired as Business Manager of the Law School. My husband retired in '83 and I retired early in "85. His health was failing and I wanted to be with him as long as possible. I lost him to cancer in '93. Way back in '63 we bought a piece of property in M...Expand for more
ineral. Started developing it in '80. It's located on Mineral Creek. We first built the garage, 3 car size. Then after my husband retired he decided we needed a barn for the horse he aquired. In '86 we sold the house in town and built a log house. HIS CHOICE. I told him I'd be just as happyy in a stick built house, but I lost. Barb was in the Army for 10 years and while she was stationed in Germany, we enjoyed a month touring with her. Our other travels included several times to Buffalo, NY (hubby's hometown), and I have been to New England, Eastern Canada, and several jaunts to Salt LakeCity in search of ancestors. Been a busy life, but I'm still here.
