Dorothy's Story
Life
I married my high school sweetheart, Ernie Viskupic (class of '73). Together we moved to Southern California in 1983. Although we divorced after 10 years of marriage, we remain good friends staying in touch by e-mail and phone. I returned to Long Island in 1995.
I've had a varied work life. For 13 years I worked in the insurance industry both as a supervisor and computer network adminstrator. I left the corporate world and became a partner in a lands...Expand for more
cape business. I earned an associate's degree in horticulture. Giving up the business after five years, I worked as a teacher's aide and managed a gift shop in a local village. Most recently, I went back to school to earn an associate's degreen in sign language interpretation. I now work in Good Samaritan Hospital where I provide "in-service" sign language seminars and interpret as needed. I also provide transcription services to the Pathology department.
