Dorothy's Story
I am a fine artist and writer, retired recently, very active in art groups locally. Live near Atlantic Ocean, love peace and quiet, good friends, avid reader and antiquing, movies, walking on the beach, museums, cooking for my friends. Music: jazz, some pop, Pat Methany, Kenny Rankin, Duffy, Simone, Annie Lenox, Etta James and, of course, Bruce. Could not choose between Beatles and Stones, like them both. The pictures in my album are of the series I have been working on for the past two years called Sepia Series, derived from very old photographs which I found abandoned in a box some years ago. They intriqued me enough to want to make large paintings from them. I have about photos in a box, do not know the individuals in the pictures, but they are from the 20's and 30's. So far there are 12 in the series, which I hope to show as a group sometime this year.
