Dorothy Davidson:  

After graduation I moved to Southern California with my family. I attended San Jose State with the goal of becoming a teacher. However, love intervened and I got married. We've been together now for 46 years. We stayed in So. Ca. working in banking until 1986 when we moved to Northern California. We were there for 19 years. We had purchased property here in Astoria with the intent of building our retirement home. When the time came we designed our home and had it built, retiring in 2005. We love living in a cooler climate where it is green year round. Our son Darren lives and works in Portland. He will be getting married soon. My husband Bill and myself have volunteered since 1991 for our local fire departments, working as EMT's and Firefighters. It was a wonderful change from our careers in banking, and more fun than I've ever had! I never imagined myself working in the back of or driving an ambulance.
