Dorothy's Story

Life Hi: Over 40 years later from graduating from high school it is amazing the way one's life path takes. I went to CSU right after high school graduation for one year. Had met my first husband Rolland L. Neff my senior year in high school and married him in 1965. We had two sons: James Rolland Neff 9/28/65 and Richard Dean Neff 6/18/67. Rollie and I were divorced in May 1972. He later passed away from Lymphoma in May of 1990 (also, had Marfan's Syndrome). Our son James (Jim) married Debra Brown August 1988 and they have 3 children: Jenifer 5/13/89, Brandon 12/17/91, Dustin 1/12/93. Jim and Deb are still happily married and live in the Denver area. Richard (Rich) married LeAnn Frankenfield in November 1993 and they are also still happily married and live in the Denver area. I remarried in October 1972 to David L. Reece. During the time I was married to David, I worked in the medical field in a single Doctor's office. I was adopted and just after Thanksgiving 1992 I found my birth mother. It was a dream come true. Both of my foster parents had passed away many years before. From the day I found her, my Mother and I have developed a wonderful mother/daughter relationship. We email each other almost daily and try to get together when ever we can (she lives in California). In October 1999 David passed away after a long illness with bladder cancer. te fall of 2000 I met Joseph H. Mountel at Ross auction. I retired from the medical field in September 2001. By April 2002 Joe and I had fallen in love and I moved in with him. On 12/31/2003 Joe and I were married at Rich and LeAnn's home. We live and work from our home in Colorado Springs. We buy collectibles and antiques at auctions, estate sales, garage sales and sell them at the American Classics Antique Mall (1815 N. Academy Blvd Booth F-13), on Half.com and eBay. After graduating over 40 years ago from high school I can say I am the happiest I have ever been in my life and plan on continuing the rest of my life this way. Update: In December 2004 I was awarded Social Security disability (chronic fibromyalgia, cervical stenosis, chronic fatigue and pain syndrom). On Christmas eve 2004 I got a toothache and to make a very long story short ended being in the hospital 4 times from January 2005 through 5/6/2005, had two surgeries, lost three teeth and had to have my right lower jaw removed and replaced by a titanium bar due to having the infection go into the jaw bone (osteomylitis). By June of this year I started feeling better and almost human. Now I am doing great and almost back to normal (whatever that is). Joe and I are still happily married and everything in our lives and our family is super. I can honestly say I have truly been blessed in myh lifetime.
