Dottie's Story

I hope old friends remember me as always carrying a smile where ever I go, and being funny at times. I always wanted to be a lawyer when I grew up. My family thought it was a good idea, but as it turns out I seemed to have shifted into a different direction, toward motherhood and marriage. The marriage part seemed to extend to three. This one is a charm! When I want to blow off steam, I get lost in my computer which relaxes me. Wow the wildest thing I ever did in school was convince my buddies I hung around with to go to earth day down town, so about 4 or 5 of us skipped school to go sit in with the hippies. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my car in good condition, and gas in it, and my happy face on. Usually places I work I have fun one way or another it makes the day go by fast or in my case the night go by fast since I work the all night shift. The question of if I have a hero? Yes! God is my inspiration and without him I wouldn't of made it. I have alot to be truely thankful for. I have lived in Darby all my life until I moved to various sections of the Philadelphia and suburban delaware county area. Now I own a home with my husband in Sharon HIll. Patty O'Leary at the time, I don't know her married name, because I was very close to her and her family until they moved away and I lost contact now. My only obsession is my c...Expand for more
omputer and Hyundai. My biggest surprise is how peaceful and contented I feel and excited I'm able to travel somewhere each year. If I could improve my home I'd remodel the dining room and add on a powder room and also a bathroom in the finished basement so I could entertain downstairs with the bar set up the way I would like and have a few tables and chairs and a flat tv mounted on the wall and a nice stereo system and and an entrance to the basement from outside. My dream home would be perfect. What I learned from my son is to be one step or two ahead. I would love to see all the teachers I had, I liked them. With $100 million, I'd give my grandson a trust fund for him to live comfortable as an adult, my son, and put alot in savings and spend the rest on my husband and I and travel and help close friends and family. I am truly happy now! And I would be with my husband relaxing in the islands somewhere. My current age is 56. When I was 2 I thought people my age now would be as limber and energetic. I was so completely wrong. Some are but then some aren't. My best friend would tell you I'm crazy but people who don't know me well would say I'm very quiet and shy. With one do-over I would be more health conscience then I was in the past. In 10 years I hope to be retired and living comfortably. I'm going to get there in 4 to 7 years perhaps.
