Dotty's Story
I live near Charleston South Carolina on a small farm with my husband Jeff, our 5 horses, and 2 miniature horses. I have 5 goats, a cat and numerous dogs. My newest additions are 2 miniature australian shepherds. I have a great pyrenees named Callie Berry who protects my goats and 2 sheep. I have 3 children and a step son. My oldest son, Mark Smith, ex-military graduated with honors with an Assoc. degree in computer science from Kaplan University. Mark is a range master on the Naval Weapons Station. My daughter, Heather Moyer, graduated with an Assoc. degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University and is currently working on her masters in Business Adm. rrently employed by Vista International a govt contractor as a computer technician at the Naval Weapons Station in Chas.
I am a nurse and work for a managed care medicaid as case manager for Emergency Room Utilization. I work from home.
My husband and I trail ride, we camp with our horses. We have ridden with Tom Seay's Best of America by Horseback several times and been on the TV show. My two Tenn. Walking horses, Armed Intruder and Jericho and I ride in local parades. I also have 2 draft horses, a Clydesdale and a Belgian
I currently belong to 2 saddle clubs and spend a lot of time horseback riding.
Healthwise, I have been lucky - only a few cuts and scrapes from horseback riding mishaps.
I have lived in South Carolina since 1989, after living in Morgantown WV and working at the WVU Medical Center.
We hope to retire in a few years and move back towards the north to a cooler climate.
