Dotty Reinhardt-Alspaugh:  

At Ramsay, I was known as Dotty Becton. My sister, Alyne, was 2 years ahead of me and most teachers thought of me as her younger sister. After my Ramsay graduation, I worked at Jones & Armstrong Steel Co. in the Summer before going on to Birmingham Southern in the Fall of 1956. Loved Birmingham Southern! but classes were a real shock to me, right difficult!. There I met Jon McEwen Reinhardt, a senior, and we married after his graduation. He went on to Tulane to get a Masters and PhD. in Politics. With 2 young children, we moved to Winston-Salem, NC where Jon became a professor in the Political Science Department at Wake Forest, then College, now a full blown University with a Medical School and Graduate School.
