Doug's Story
Now retired after 40 1/2 years in the IT field. After HS I had a hard time finding a job because I did not participate in the co-op program while a senior. So I decided to go to ULowell and pursue a degree. I earned a BS in Business Admin in 1981 with a concertation in information management systems and programming. After graduation I moved up the ranks in the IT world wearing many different hats throughout my career but the one I enjoyed the most was software development. I married in 1986 and moved to the state of NH and live 3 miles away from my brother Rob. Yep you heard me right. Raised 3 kids with my wife (sadly now deceased).
I really enjoyed my time at the Tech; especially the Drafting related classes. Always entertaining to see Ken D or Don Wood waffling our flair. I don't miss getting whaled on by Joe M on the way home from a cross country meet.
Last year became a granddad for the first time. My passions these days are bass fishing, reading, and ice hockey (yes I still play ice hockey), and truly hating NE winters.
