Doug's Story
Life
Happy and living in Clearwater. I have an 11 y/o son. He's a great kid and his is name Austin.....we call him Auggie. I was a divorced single father for a while but am now happily married to my beautyful wife JoAnn. She's a nurse at the ACH. We also have a 7m/o Boston terrier named "Rocco". She named him, not me. Life is good....if I could only figure out how to keep the pool from turning green. Will have pictures soon once I learn how to use this friggen computer.
School
I put off college for years and tended bar. When my son came along realized I needed to go to school. So, I went to St.Pete College and got m...Expand for more
y nursing degree. One of the best decisions of my life! After SPC I did a surgical internship at All Children's Hospital....where I met my beautyful wife. After my internship I stayed on as regular staff at ACH.
Workplace
After college I was a surgical nurse at All Children's Hospital. I was on the ortho team and assisted in scoloiosis surgery. After several years I was given the oppertunity to become an implant rep for the surgeries. I"m currently a Spinal Consultant specializing in Pediatric Scoliosis surgery. It all sounds kind of boring but we get to help alot of people and I get to work with some great surgeons.
