Doug's Story
Life
After GE I tooled around Lombard awhile but events lead me to Hawaii. In the course of about three years as a competitive surf bum, professional scuba diver and driver of a two deck "London" tour bus, I met and married a '72 York grad who had also moved to Hawaii. We later moved to the Los Angeles area. Two wonderful sons and 23 years of marriage later, we couldn't hold it together and divorced in '02.. ics/factory automation field and hold two patents in the arena. Have traveled most of Europe and Asia (mostly business) but much prefer to be home. Always a gear head - did a full restoration/race prep' of a Fiat 124 Spider and enjoy riding an 1100 V-Twin Honda Shadow Spirit. I do some racing with the Fiat Spider, mostly at Mid-Ohio and elsewhere as budget allows. Somehow ended up living on a lake in rural North Central Ohio but life is good with new gal Debbie and I've put down roots.
