Life
Left C'view in '67 and went to Miami to go to school. Met Jan (a Yankee) in '67 and got married in '69 in Cincinnati. Graduated from Miami-Dade Community College and got my Embalmer/Funeral Director License in 1970. Moved back to C'view in '72 to work for Whitehurst F. H.(again). We had our first and only child, a girl, in '72. Got out of the funeral business cause it was a dead end job and tried my hand at business owner.....twice...once as a concrete products manufacturer (burial vaults) sold out in 5 years and opened a sporting goods store... Sport Shack. Became an Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriff, operated the store during the day and worked the evening shift for the Sheriff's Office for 5 years before I decided I could be the richest man in the ceme...Expand for more
tary or I could sell the store. Retired from the SO in Sept. 2003 with 20 years. YEEEHAAAA!!! Now just playing golf , doing "Honey Doo's", and going to First Baptist Church and singing in the chior. Looking forward to seeing you all at the next reunion. We had a joint reunion with 64, 65, 66, 67 and I think a few 68 grads in August of 2006. It was a huge success! Now everybody wants to have them more often, so if you missed the one in August, don't miss another one! Some have suggested we could get a few of the band members to do a little concert with a few of the Glee Club members.
