Doug's Story
Graduated high school 1971,
Went to Fla. To play baseball,, didn't last long. Came back to attend Ohio State for awhile, but started importing black light bulbs, and was in the poster business. Did very well with the Farrah Fawcett poster nationally. Quit working in 1978. Back to work in 1982 creating lighting showrooms for Home Depot, expanded into other big box stores in USA, and Canada. Traveling all over USA, and Canada. Got married in 1986, had the love of my life baby girl in 1989. Divorced, and then married again in 1996. Divorced agai...Expand for more
n, and moved on. Moved back to Texas to be near my daughter. Retired in 2010 when diagnosed with tongue and throat cancer. Moved to Ohio for treatment 2010, had surgery in 2011. Cancer seems to be gone since. Had a couple of heart attacks, now have a pacemaker installed, bought an RV, and hit the road...i spend summers in Ohio to see family and doctors, then to texas, spending time with my daughter, in Feb and March I'm in AZ to see spring training baseball, then back to Texas, then to Ohio to do it again. Just trying to enjoy life and living.
