Doug's Story
After college, I worked for 12 years for IBM, Admin Mgr in Alaska and SeaTac. Also was assistant to Regional Mgr. Then 20 years with Reliance Group Holdings in construction surety bonds as branch and divisional mgrs, then training officer in Philadelphia. Three years with Hartford managing their Bond Center in Florida. Retired and now live on 12 acres just outside Kansas City, near Lawrence.
Six years in WA National Guard as coxwain on a landing craft and platoon sergeant. Got pilots license in 1971 while in the Guard.
Owned a sailboat and beach place near Shelton for awhile. We loved the water in Washington, but not the rain and overcast. Except for the occasional tornado, eastern Kansas is a wonderful place to live.

L and briefly drove a double-trailer semi for FedEx Ground over the road. Not something one should do in retirement. Drove a 54 passenger tour bus for awhile for fun. Last 4 years I've delivered vans and SUVs around the USA on part time basis for a company that has a fleet of about 2,000 vehicles in 26 states. Much fun. Love to drive around the U.S. Don't make much money but have a lot of fun.
