Time Flies When Your Having Fun| After i graduated i worked at Climax Molybimum mine for a while, then went into the wholesale florist bussinesss where i moved to Palo Alto, Ca., Oklahoma City Ok.,then onto Albuquerque Nm. I then Returned to my home town Denver, CO. At this point i became a truck driver (18 wheeler or more) and drove cross country hauling mostly swinging lambs to the east coast. this was followed by milk transports in the intermountian west for about 15 yrs. Since i was gone so much i had become a involuntary bachlor. I then worked for Leprino Transportion and Foods company for 24 Years, 4 years driving over the road and the last 20 years in middle management until they sold the trucking division and i was laid off. At 40 I met my beautiful wife Logie, a widow with 5 teenagers and we were marrie...Expand for more
d. It was quite a change from bachlor to stepfather of 5. but i survived and we are a happy family of 7. The kids are all grown and on their own now and we have 6 grandchildren, that i tried to spoil and 7 great grand children as of this date. the last 10 years since i was laid off at Leprino have been times of change from job to job driving trucks again, untill i found my last one 2 1/2 years ago driving for NAVISTAR testing trucks. i Claim to be partially retired as i only work 4 days a week about 44 hours, but for me having worked 60 to 70 hrs. per week all of my work career i still think it is part time. No plans to fully retire yet, but maybe travel a little more with Logie and do some other fun things. Well thats 50 years uin a nut shell, but the last 28 married to my wonderful wife Logie have been the best.
