Douglas's Story
Life
I went into the USAF upon graduation and served as an AC Electrician at RAF Alconbury, England and finished my final year at Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Al. Some of the guys I worked with at Alconbury were: Herbert Dale Watts (Va.), Joe Curran (Ma), Terry Hanlon (Oh), Paul Chamberlain (PA), ? Stofko (WI?), Alan Dietz (IN), J.P. Chuey(PA), Harry Glenn (AL), ? Casey (PA). I returned to Brownsville, Tx. and served 1 & 1/2 years on the Brownsville Police Dept., but the big city was a seductress and I joined the Dallas Police Dept where I served 22&1/2 years before being forced into retirement from an in-the-line-of-duty injury. Moved back to Brownsville in '95, got a divorce and ran into Cheri Fowler at Office Depot in June '97. We got married on Feb. 28, 1998, and will live happily ever after. We have built our retirement home up in...Expand for more
the Hill Country about 40 miles north of San Antonio and really love it. (Spring Branch, Tx.)
I am very active in the Masonic Fraternity and have received honors in Masonry beyond any expectations I may ever have had. On October 21, 2008, I became the 160th Grand High Priest of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas. (Don't try to infer anything or make a big deal out of the title. The Masonic degrees in this body of Masonry exemplify the rebuilding of the 2nd Temple of King Solomon at a time when only the High Priests were permitted to speak the name of God. No one worships me nor do I claim any ability to preach, sanctify, save or otherwise act in substitution of any clergyman, reverend, priest, pastor, etc., etc. It's just a Fraternal title. Period.)
I'd like to know if any former DeMolays from Brownsville Chapter became Masons.
