I've been living in beautiful Santa Fe with the love of my life, Mari , for twelve years now. When I first moved here from Portland, OR, I was aghast at the brown, the dryness. But now after many years, I see the beauty in the rocks, the dirt, the small patches of life struggling to survive in the harsh environment. Now that my children are getting a little older, I'm looking forward to all the opportunities to go camping, hiking, skiing and biking with them. e obvious how everything changes as time goes on, no matter how much we try to keep things the same.
Work remains an opportunity, not a burden (too much). I am mostly out of software now, doing statistics and math instead. Still avoiding the burden of management. Know way too much about financial markets. But there are still new things to learn, new people and viewpoints to experience. The culture is pretty good and I have some good friends I work with.
My company is really good to work for, both financially and career-wise, so if you have some awesome talents in software and/or statistical modelling or finance, drop me a line.
