Douglas's Story
After getting two undergraduate degrees from MIT, a Ph D from Univ of Wisconsin I spent 34 years in drug discovery at the pharmaceutical company Merck, I helped develop a cure for river blindness which once afflicted over 200 million people, and treatments for diabetes and migraines. ee grandchildren. I've done a lot of traveling (49 states and 41 countries), my favorite place in the US is Yellowstone and my favorite place in the world is the Serengeti in East Africa. My main hobby is Birding and my goal is to see more than half the bird species on the planet, I've seen over 4500 species but still need another 1000 to reach my goal... Looking forward to an end to the pandemic so I can travel to new places and see new birds!
