Douglas's Story
Life
Born in Vallejo California 1942. Family moved to Edmonds Washington 1950. Graduated Edmonds High school 1961. I went to9 Everett Jr. for two years. Then I did a four year apprenticeship in carpentry. In 1976 I started flying for a living in Kotzebue Alaska. Kotzebue is 35 miles north of the Arctic cricle. I have been flying in Alaska ever since. I married Delgina Lien in 1963. en and 5 grandchildren ranging from 5 years to 20 years old. Delgina and I live in Ketchikan now where I am the Director of Operations at Taquan Air. Taquan Air is a small company with 7 float planes. We have lived in Ketchikan since 1990. I plan on giving up flying in the winters this fall, but still fly a few more summers. I plan on useing the winters to catch up on the projects that always left undone.
