Douglas's Story
Hello Folks:
I wrote about life after high school and want you all to read it.
SUBJECT: Life
After High school I lost touch with almost everyone I interacted with. Over the years, I've been getting in touch with almost everyone that was important to me. There are a few people that I can't locate or contact but I have time. For the most part, we have all turned out in areas that surprise me. Look at me, most people would not have believed that I would have spent so much time in college since I disliked high schools so much.
Lets talk about disappointments; We all have a few of them from high school and beyond, maybe a goal or a dream of a certain career, maybe it was a dream of a life with a person we truly believed we loved, not that any of us knew what love was as a teenager. I have a few disappointments in my life, most of them were because of a sidetrack I've taken or a lack of motivation due to fear. A few of them were due to me not being ready to dive into something that scared the hell out of me and when I was ready, it was to late.

g in touch with some of the people I spent so much of my childhood with. There are a few of my disappointments that I will not write about, just because.
Since graduation from high school I have learned that one cannot go back and change the past but rather, just improve on it and to live with ones actions.
After High school, I entered the reserves, Army and later Navy, and have found it to be educational. I also entered college were I earned degrees in anthrolopogy, hydrogeochemistry and soil science. I met my Wife (Karen) while at UNLV and married in 1995. We have two children; Sydney (1998) and Zach (1999).
That one thing in life that Curly from "City Slickers" was talking about was being happy with you. Trying to keep up with your neighbors or family will only create unnecessary stress for monetary possessions. I've done well but it has taken me 100 hour work weeks and a ton of stress to get to that point where I learned that "one thing". I wonder how much life I have lost chasing that almighty dollar.
Drop a line (email) and lets keep intouch.
Best Regards,
Doug Sims
