Douglas's Story
I have been in Big Bear Lake for the past 30 years enjoying the good life as a McDonald's Owner/Operator. Sold 4 of them but kept Big Bear Lake. I had the stores in Lake Arrowhead (1981), Blue Jay (1996), Crestline (1997), and Snow Valley Ski Resort (1990). It was a good run but it's time to semi-retire. I enjoy flying my Cessna T182T and driving my Porsche. I am in the middle of restoring a 1956 Chevrolet Nomad. Lots of fun but lots of work too.
I worked at Hughes Aircraft Company for 11 years before moving to Big Bea...Expand for more
r Lake and after a couple of tours in Vietnam. That's another story that I don't share much. While at Hughes, I was a purchasing agent in printed circuit boards from Siemens in Germany and in Microelectronics at Newport Beach. I received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Long Beach State. I think that was by default. I have had only two jobs, which was a blessing. I have two great kids and one ex-wife. One is my limit. Like being single. More later if anyone is interested. I am open to any questions or comments.
