Douglas's Story
Workplace
Started out as an Iron Worker at Standard Iron and Wire, then went to Stanley Iron Works in Bloomington in 1970.
In 1980 I went to Dakota County Vo-Tech as a welding instructor, met Betty Byrne there, (homeroom teacher at RHS)
She was a counselor.
In 1984 I left the teaching profession, found a job in Michigan as a welding engineer in a robotics company. Put many robotic arc welding systems in automotive plants.
Moved around robotic companies until 1996,then made a try to get closer to home.
Went to work at Genesis Systems Group, in Davenport Iowa as an engineering manager. Ran the robotic/welding enginee...Expand for more

Times got bad in Iowa in 2000, Went back to Michigan, where I worked at KUKA.
KUKA is an acronym for Keller und Knappich Augsburg.
They are the second largest automotive automation supplier in Europe, headquartered in Augsburg Germany.
I was the laser welding product manager for the US.
currently work for Fusion Welding Solutions Inc.
May 23, 2009 Son Timothy (35 years old) is getting married. Sue and I will be traveling to Davenport IA for the wedding.
So now to the present, moved back to Mpls 2012. Work for PRI Robotics in Plymouth.
Sue and I now married 43 years
