Doyle's Story
Doyle's schools include Shawnee Mission South High School, Shawnee Mission West High School.. After HS and 1 semester of college, I went to work for the Post Office to save some money for school. 1 year later, that didn't work out and I understand what them mean by "going postal". I then went to work for the SLSF Railroad (Frisco) in 1969. I joined the Air Force in 1970 and after 4 years, 5 months and 11 days, I had earned my benefits to return to school, ...Expand for more
BUT, I was married and now had a real responsibility. So I went back to the railroad just thinking it was a temporary job till I finished school. One thing lead to another and 41 years later, I retired from my temporary job. I retired in 2009 and now almost 5 years later, I'm enjoying my retirement and doing pretty much what I care to do. We have 8 grandkids, 7 years of age and younger and that keeps us busy when we visit them as none of them live close by.
