Jim's Story
After H.S. Graduation in 1967, I enlisted in the USAF, which turned out to be a good thing, as I received my "Draft Card" 2 weeks later. After Basic Training in Texas, I went to Tech School in Chanute, IL. Then I went to Pease AFB, N.H. for about 6 months. During the Vietnam War, I spent a couple of years in SE Asia (Thailand, Okinawa, Guam,Philippines) as a B-52 Crew Chief. Then I spent 20 more years in the service, as a KC-135 Air Refueling Aircraft Crew Chief, traveling to other countries (Panama, Spain, Labrador), until retiring in 1990 with 22 years of service.
I met my wife, Donna in 1982 in Portsmouth, NH. She had 5 children from 8-18 years old at that time (a ...Expand for more
ready made family). Then I worked in Saudi Arabia from 1991-92 for Boeing. After that, I worked several jobs, including QA Tech Writer for Pan Am from 1998-2004.
In 1994, my wife Donna and I moved from NH to FL to enhance her career, as a Mary Kay Director. Soon after that, my many years of spine issues worsened, and I retired. Since then, I have been a "Domestic Engineer," & Computer Guru for friends & family.
We plan on travelling around the world during the next 10 years.
We enjoy eating at new restaurants, and love Thai food. We also enjoy theater, exploring historical sites and I enjoy photography.
I wish you all good health, happiness and prosperity.
