Drew's Story
Subsequent to graduating from Midland, I completed my 4 year degree with the University of Toronto.
After a very successful 27 year career in Toronto with Manulife Financial Group Savings & Retirement Solutions I retired in May 2009 to pursue my passion for consulting.
I am currently the Senior Vice President at one of Canada's leading Group Retirement/Pension Plan and Employee Benefits consultants Reuter Benefits, managing over $1.6B in assets. I also sit on the Rogers Publishing Small Business Council for Canada.
Susie and I have three grown children Amber, Brandon & Courtney and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I served as a two time President of Cedar Brae Golf Club, and currently Chair the Strategic Planning Committee.
Really enjoyed being a Head Coach in Toronto coaching AAA and Jr A hockey for 16 years, and in January of 2019 played in the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens Alumni game, along with Leaf Alumni, at the Oshawa Tribute Communities Centre in front of 5,000 fans. I also continue to play and Umpire competitive softball, Finally I am a season ticket holder with my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Locally, we actively support the Guildwood community in Scarb0rough, help fund raise at the Poplar Road Strawberry Festival (for 25+ years) and for Autism Ontario, as co-Chair of the annual golf tournament at Cedar Brae, raising over $180,000 for autism.
