Duane's Story
I worked for the Flint Fire Dept. for 26 years retiring as a Lieutenant in 2000, after enjoying not working for a few years I started working for the Red Cross blood services, transferring to the Petoskey post in 2009. Now retired again in Bellaire with my wife of 4 years Darlene who I met in Florida in 2004. stored several classic cars. With the winter we had here last my wife and I are thinking of spending half the year in the FL panhandle where we met. Had a blast at Southwestern, great friends, and memories. Still remember all the kids coming to see me after breaking my leg at Atwood in 9th grade. Greatest regret not being able to convince my father to let me play hockey when it started in 1974 at Southwestern, I started playing after HS and played well into my 50s and coached for years.
