Melissa's Story

Life My son is turning 21 in October wow! He is handsome, smart and athletic. He is leaving for his 3rd year at Michigan State University. I can't believe he is grown but I am very proud of him. My daughter will be 18 on July 15th. She is beautiful, smart and outgoing. She is beautiful and girly but also very much a tomboy as well. At this point she can handle any obstacle because she is tough! She just became the mom to my gorgeous grandson Bryson. It will be a tough road ahead but I know she and her boyfriend Steven will be fine. I adore her but she is responsible for the first of my gray hair lol. I have a Border Collie named Riley a Jack Russell Terrier named Buster and a Chihuahua named Reno. All 3 pure breeds but who cares-I got them at a shelter. I don't believe in buying dogs for their pedigree I believe in giving a homeless animal a home. I am very happy with the direction my life is going a...Expand for more
nd very happy with who I have become. I never thought I would get to that point but here I am. I am learning to face the fact my children are grown and I will have to learn how to be Melissa not just mom. I adore my children and I am very proud of them. I am also very proud of how they are turning out. I am divorced but have been in a relationship with a wonderful man for almost 15 years. Marriage may be in our future sometime. School Ahh High School! When you are there you just want out into the real world. About 10 years (or more) later you are looking back trying to find out where the time went. I was very shy then...so funny! I am a very confident outgoing woman now. I wouldn't change my age or go back, but I sure miss the body I had at 17 LOL! I am headed to college myself in the Fall. Workplace I currently do customer service for a major catalog. It is not my dream job but it pays the bills.
