Dwayne's Story
Life
After graduating from high school, I attended Faulkner State Junior College for a year. I walked on the baseball team, but didn't get to play. The following year I transferred to Patrick Henry State Junior College in Monroeville (now Alabama Southern) and received a baseball scholarship. I played 2nd base for two years at PHSJC. I met my wife (Sherry Murphy) whose mother was my English professor at PHSJC. We were married in June 1981. I received my BS degree in Computer Science from Livingston University (now University of West Alabama) in 1983. I started my professional career with Morrison's Inc, but moved to Birmingham in 1985. rced to Accenture. I have been programming with BellSouth/Accenture for 20 years. I've recently went to work for Compass Bank in Birmingham. Sherry and I waited 13 years before having childern, but we have three wonderful children Sage 13, Noah 11, and Lexi 9. I love outdoor activities especially snow skiing which I took up about 17 years ago. I love skiing out west. My favorite place to snow ski is Lake Tahoe, but all places out west are great! Currently, I spend most of my time with activities for my kids. My dad lives in Loxley, so I visit quite often during the summer. Things have definitely changed over the years in Baldwin county.
