I always wanted to be a professional baseball player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. It all started my graduating year of "78" I was drafted out of Fremont High School by the Philadephia phillies Organization. I decided at that time to turn the money and offer down, and accept an athletic scholar to the University of Arizona. What a great decision that was. It afforded me to get some education behind me and experence college life. Also got the experence of playing in the baseball college world series in Omaha Nebraska twice, "79" and winning the college world series in "80" At the end of my junior year of college I was drafted again in "81" this time by the Cleveland Indians. After long negociations we (me, my wife, and agent) decided to sign a bonus professional baseball contract with the Cleveland Indians organization. That was the start of my professional Baseball career. I ended up playing 13yrs with 5 different organizations. Also played some in the major leagues. I retired after the "93" season.
