Dwight's Story
Went to OSU in '62. Hated it except for the Buckeye Band. Went back to CHAS '64, loved it. Got drafted '65, 1Y for high blood pressure. Worked a number of interesting jobs. Went back to school at the American University, Econ major, got a job in consumer finance. (Bill collector in DC on Friday nights.)
Left DC to go the NYC for a Wall Street auditing job in '67. Watched the WTC go up from my office window. Watched it go down on TV on 9/11. Started fixing cars for friends, then got a job in a local gas station in '71. Married in '72, divorced in '75. I loved fixing cars. Stayed at it until 2002. (back to doing it for friends again). Specialized in German cars, retired as Master Tech for VW...Expand for more

'72 to '85, lived out childhood dream of visiting as many National Parks as possible from my home in Arizona. Became a pretty good landscape photographer. (Traveled in a '68 VW hippie van, of course.)
Married Elaine in '88, still married. 3 stepdaughters and 2 grandsons. Moved back to France from 2002 to 2005, left when USD hit bottom against the EURO, back to Arizona. Bought at the peak of housing prices, now underwater, (like so many others). Got a part time job at the local Home Depot, Now work in Garden dept. as Certified Nursery Consultant, also hardware, sometime paint. (All the little skills of the handyman homeowner.)
Lost beautiful Elaine to cancer in 2015.
