E's Story

Life I don't know how I ended up here, however, I might as well take advantage of it. Basically, for the last 14 years, I have worked with large law firms as a Civil Litigation Paralegal/Coordinator. My biggest surprise, I would have to say, was, when my back locked. I was in and out of the hospital for a year and a half and all because my Health Insurance did not believe anything to be wrong with my back or refused to provide reasonable care. So, I decided to fight my healthcare provider, on my own, since no attorney would or could help, because this particular healthcare provider, is protected by an arbitration program that is a fraud. Retired Judges hear cases against my healthcare provider, by individuals such as myself, and my healthcare provider, always, wins 95% of those cases, because my healthcare provider uses the same arbitrator in 80% of their cases and of course, the program is paid by my healthcare provider, so what does that tell you? Anyways, any lawyer who has arbitrated against my healthcare provider, has lost. Therefore, no lawyer will spend $100,000.00 up front to litigate a case against my healthcare provider, due to costs and because you have to abide by the arbitration program. However, if my healthcare provider was to be exposed, like I did behind closed doors, and a class action law suit was filed against them, the arbitration program goes out the door and you can sue for whatever you want. The arbitration program states in part, that the m...Expand for more
aximum you can recover from my healthcare provider, should you win against them, is $250,000.00. Most of the time, this amount is worthless, as the surgical procedures some one might need, well exceeds that amount, and my friends, my healthcare provider, will rather fight you and stall for years then to authorize reasonable care, you might need. Why? Because the most they can lose worse comes to worse is $250,000.00, a lot less than authorizing a surgical procedure. Well, bored you enough. By the way, I fought my healthcare provider's, corporate power house on my own, and WON!!! However, I did not win any money, but I did win my medically necessary surgical procedure that cost well above the $250,000.00 and I guess all those years working for lawyers and litigating cases paid off..., in addition to all future medical care. Therefore, eventhough I am disabled for life, due to damage that is permanent in nature, and eventhough I sometimes have to use a wheel chair, I am not paralyzed as I could have been should my surgical procedure not have taken place when it did. Of course other damages to my internal organs took place, due to injected morphine for as long as I was in and out of the hospital, that have taken their toll and now suffer from many other ailments, but I must say, I am still here, eventhough, they overdosed me 3 times and almost killed me all 3 times. On another note, if any one remembers Pam T., I want to apologize for my behavior of so many years ago.....
