Earl's Story

Armed Forces Motorsports ( dot com) Ambassador. (Picture is Clickable there). Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Earl "LeeBird" Hayes is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Beirut conflict in the early 80's. Stationed onboard the U.S.S. SAMPSON DDG-10 out of Mayport, Fla. Upon his discharge from the service in 1984, Earl began developing his career in charity work and event planning. By Holding several events for the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association, he was able to raise a significant amount of money, over the span of 10 years, to be donated to the M.D.A. telethon. Working with the M.D.A. enabled Earl to learn valuable event planning skills that he would utilize later on. From 1995 till 2005, Earl was a semi-truck driver, (Steel hauler), that hauled local freight in and around the sw Ohio area. Earl Graduated with high honors from the 'OHIO/ ILLINOIS CENTERS FOR BROADCASTING' and with this new education, Earl has formed a fully Licensed Internet Radio Station: "Honor America Radio": .honoramericaradio.dot org Supporting our Troops, Veterans and all First Responders. Honor America Radio is a family friendly station, that Plays a mixture of Classic/ Southern Rock and Pop Music as well. Monday's: AM Hits Of the 70's - 5-8 PM EST/ 4-7 PM CST Wednesday's: Klassik Kickin Country Show - 5-8 PM EST/ 4-7 PM CST Friday's: "Rock & Roll"/ "Dance Party" and "That Metal Shop" shows alternate on Friday's to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the station with their own musical tastes. 5-8 PM EST/ 4-7 PM CST Live Call-in talk shows are scheduled for the future on the station, that will focus on providing education and information for everyone to learn about and be connected to the correct resources...Expand for more
to deal with a variety of issues that face our returning injured war hero's. Earl and his wife Kathryn now reside in Oak Lawn, a suburb of S.W. Chicago. He Loves Chicago, and now calls it home. Walking on the Beach, and along the Lake Front along the Great Lake Michigan is one of Earl's many passions. Earl is an accomplished Lead/ Rhythm guitar player and has played in several classic/ southern rock bands over the years. In 2011, Earl received a phone call, (at home), from non-other than JOHNNY VAN ZANT, lead Vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd and the purpose for the call was Johnny showing his appreciation for the Radio Station: "American Hearts Radio" (was the first Internet radio station, Earl and a common friend with Johnny Van Zant share, had built and operated for the troops and veterans). Johnny also stated that Earl could use Johnny's name as he ENDORSED any radio project Earl is involved in as long as it was geared toward military support. Also, among the endorsements Earl has received, is the Endorsements from TIM CHAMBERS: aka The Saluting Marine as well as the one and the only TOM "TURBO TOM" MUFFLER of ARMED FORCES MOTORSPORTS. "I am so very grateful and honored to be able to call these great people friends. Johnny Van Zant, Tim Chambers, Tom Muffler and also Phil McCormack: Lead Vocals for the southern rock band Molly Hatchet . This is a group of people I hold in High regard and cherish the friendships". Now Located in Chicago, Earl is basing his newest radio station: Honor America Radio out of downtown Chicago. "There are a lot of great veteran programs in Chicago that the exposure of a veteran geared radio station can help promote and get the word to the people"
