Ed's Story
Life
April, 09
Time to update. Moved aboard the motorhome 5 yrs ago and have enjoyed the lifestyle. We've traveled through Texas and up to WA and have found ourselves back here in San Diego to replenish the coffers. My son graduated with a dbl major in Finance and Marketing and is married and doing well in the Portland area whilst Amy is putting her graphics and advertising degree to work for her up in the Ventura area north of LA. Thank God they have what I didn't.
Good health to all who read this and God Bless. The Conners
College
72 to 76...
Many businesses since that time and lots of adventures. I left college to start a business mfg hang gliders and did very well at it for some yrs. Previous to Golden West College, I had been in mgmnt in the garment industry for some time. My vocation in the high speed needles trade had gone to the Pacific rim in 71. I have changed vocations five times since. Business training provided the backbone for my self confidence and have no regrets. I do wish I could link up ...Expand for more
with some of my old mates though. I lived aboard a sail boat for 13 yrs and raised a daughter who graduated in 05 from Brooks Institute in Ventura. Laura and I are back in San Diego and living in our wonderful motorhome. If anyone reads this and remembers me, please feel free in emailing me. I would enjoy the opportunity to respond. Take care out there. Ed & Laura Conner
Sept 2011
Back down in the sun in San Diego. Don't get the motorhome out much but living quite well here. We had planned moving northward this fall but have other matters of concern taking precedence ie our present economy and the dismall future it portends to the more informed. This is in some part the reason we chose this life style. Mobility has its merits if exit strategies need deploying. What extreme macro-transitioning we've seen in our life time. The dwindling middle class melt down is at our doorstep I fear. Laura and I have spent 30 yrs plus with regards the "minimalist" view point of life style. Just be prepared is all.
