Ed's Story

Life Now laid off from Northrop Grumman so now fully retired....fill my days doing work for neighbors, like putting up a fence, or building a platform and steps off the bulkhead and down to the beach. Live on the Neuse River across from Oriental and halfway between Beaufort and Havelock, home of MCAS Cherry Point. My first car was a '57 Chevy that I bought for $25 bucks in Monterey, limped home on 4 working cylinders, then rebuilt the engine and transmission over the summer while working at the Post Office. Then was lucky enough to have a guy paint it, for free! Have a great wife, two Shelties and a nice house on the river that consumes a lot of time due to its age. Wish I could get back to Vallejo, will ...Expand for more
try to be there at the next reunion.... hope all are doing well! I see Dennis Napior about once every 3-4 months....he lives on a mountainside near Monroe, VA. Has 40 acres, grows his own fruits, vegetables and flowers. His wife, Amy is great too, and they have three dogs....two are standard poodles. They both just retired from a nuclear power company and are having great fun. Best to everyone, and remember those who have gone before us, Harry Reed, Walt Highbaugh, and others. Good friends, and glad I got to talk to them before they were gone. Harry's brother, Bobby, runs a restaurant in Saratoga, NY called Soros. He was really glad to talk to me about Harry at the Hall of Fame induction. Great human being
