Ed's Story
Life
After graduation and 1 year at Westark, I enlisted in the Air Force. I received my draft notice for the Army shortly thereafter. I stayed in for 20 years, 4 days. I missed Viet Nam but served in the Persian Gulf "war." I retired, went back to school, and obtained a teaching certificate in elementary education, secondary history, and Biblical studies. I came back to AR when my Mom became very ill and she later died. I broke my leg Jan 2001 and haven't been doing much since it is still not healed right. I have a facebook page now, too.
School
Who was that geek? What can I say, I practiced...Expand for more
football and had fun in the mud. Never played a varsity game, though.
College
Teacher, teacher, can't get a job. Nobody wants real discipline in class anymore. Kids only want to be coddled and spoon-fed. Teach them to THINK for themselves!
Military
Lackland, Keesler, Andrews (if I ever go back it'll be too soon), Tinker, Yokota (I would go back in a heartbeat!), Pease (great lobster!), Scott, Offutt (once you get on it you can't get off it!), Incirlik, Offutt (what did I say?), Ft. Amador, Shaw (let me outta here!). Most of which, I left nothing behind and don't care if I ever see them again.
