Life After high school, I joined the army and went to vietnam twice..as a helicopter crewchief/door gunner. I also served as a tank driver/gunner/commander in Texas between tours to vietnam. I discharged from the army in 1973, and met my future wife. After a 13 year break in service, I joined the Army National Guard in Georgia as a crewchief on helicopters..I have served as a trainer for other crewchiefs and now am the First Sergeant for the flight company located at Dobbins ARB, Georgia. We have two children, a son-25, with a wife and two daughters, and we have a daughter-21. We live in Dallas, Ga. Update...I am now the Command Sergeant Major for the 78th Aviation Troop Command, after a one year tour in the desert for Operation Iraqi Freedom. My son is now 35, and has 4 kids, my daughter is 30 and has a son...and my wife and I have been married 37years.Well I have now retired from the military...28 total years...just cooling mu heels for a while. . College I was president of the student computer programmers assc. I graduated magna cum laude....all while working fulltime and supporting my family. In 2007 I graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major. Academy Workplace After high school, I joined the Army. After that, I had several jobs to include Eagle Aviation, Asplund Tree Service, Ryder Truck Rental, then where I am now, with the Georgia Army National Guard.I have been with the Guard since 1986, working full time with them since 1989. I am Now retired and enjoying life at home....working on all the accumulated "honey-do's" which have been piling up over the years....Expand for more
