Ed's Story
After high school I eventually moved up to Yosemite and worked my way up from a lowley dishwasher to pizza boy at Degnan's Pizza. That was in 81 - 82. In 83 I landed the cook job at the Ahwanee Hotel, thanks to Norm Menard, former baker for the Hotel, God rest his soul. He was my then best friends Dad, David Menard, who was my room mate who litterally went south and then took his own life years later, for reasons unknown to me, God rest his soul too. I met my first wife in Yosemite, she was my boss at Degnan's, and we moved down south to be with my parents who moved their Radio Shack business to Calimesa, CA.
I then worked for several restaurants, the latest being, "A Matter of Taste" in Hemet, CA. After we married, my wife became homesick for Pennsylvania so we packed up the stuff and the cat and moved back to her home in PA where I ...Expand for more
was accepted in a very posh Chef school at the Hotel Hershey. Long story short, long hours later, we divorced. I became a certified Chef. I became unable to do the work as my back was giving me problems, Thats another story. I met my current wife at the Hotel and am still with her.,,.. Um yes dear, I'll be right there lol. OK, well, I landed another job as a Manager at a beer distributer. For 6 years! While doing that I got interested in computers and was hired on at Harley Davidson in York, PA as a unix administrator. Cool job. That lasted two years, was only supposed to be one, and then I was asked to join the Tyco team in 98. I know what you're thinking, kid who hung out with the slimey's, alcholic, beer guzzling, dope smoking, class idiot, no where do nothing looser ends up being a yuppie computer geek!
