Ed's Story

Life Since leaving Seattle in 1964, Leah (Brubaker - Sealth Class of '63) and I have had four children, three are through college, married and having their own children now (our youngest died of illness when she was 3). We have lived in Washington, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania (3 times), Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, Georgia and Arkansas (current winter...Expand for more

Our children live in Cincinnati, OH (Angie + husband & 2 sons), Oklahoma City, OK (Todd + wife, airplane & cats) and Little Rock, AR (Keith + wife & 6 sons). I took an early retirement from GE, and am currently working for Parsons Corp. as a Passenger Rail Vehicle (subway, commuter, light rail) Consultant.

Skagit Community Band Concert coming Feb. 2 & 4.
The North Cascades Concert Band has concerts this coming weekend. They will be at Bellingham HS on Friday night (5th), 7:30; Salem Lutheran Church on Saturday (6th), 7:30; and Arlington HS on Sunday (7th) afternoon 3:00.

Here's a picture of the Skagit Community band taken at last year's Skagit Community college graduation. If you look over the director's left shoulder, that's me holding the clarinet.
The Skagit Community Band I play in will be performing a concert Friday night in La Conner, and Sunday afternoon in Anacortes. I am playing clarinet in the concert band and Alto Sax in the "Big Band". Should be an enjoyabl
The other Big Band I'm playing in - Camano Junction _ will be playing for a dance at Camano Center on April 8th. We usually have a lot of high school students and a good group of senior adults, plus a mixture in between.
One of the community concert bands that I play in - The Skagit Community Band - is performing a concert at two locations this weekend. Friday night in La Conner and Sunday afternoon in Anacortes. This is a very good band
