Renee's Story

Life So wierd....I haven't really talked to or seen anyone from from High School since High School it seems, except for a few. It would appear that the whole of our school dropped off the earth. Oh except for the reunion in 97. So much fun. My now husband Eddie wore Alan Glass's name badge because he wasn't there. (no resemblance/very drunk=hilarity) Well I'm alive and living in Lake Forest. Gone through a couple of alias's so hard to find me for sure. Got a house 2 boys and 1 more baby on the way. I think I'm insane. Married 7 years and working been working for Nordstrom for the past 12. Currently the Visual Merchandising manager at the Irvine Nordy. Stop by and page me. We could go for a ride on the ferris wheel. Not sure I want to pay the $2.95 for the "GOLD" membership, but it sounds too shiny to pass up. We'll see. So are we having a reunion this year or what? Can't party so that's a bummer, but I can dance a blue streak still. School Oh course Mr. Freidrich was my inspiration. He inspired me to study to become an art teacher. I'm not now and thank god cuz I don't have the patience to teach. I'm still in a crative field though. I would love to do it all over again, knowing what I know now. My memories of high school are one big hilarious blur. Art class of course, the drama of teen love and angst, dances or more like the hotel parties after. The beach and piling everyone into that gold convertible bug I had. My best buds M/L/R/M/G. Squirettes. And best of all......Expand for more
.the crazy fashion. What does it mean if I look more crazy now than I did back then? I still think I'm 17. Oh well. College Graduated from F.I.D.M in 89. Went back to school in early 90's to C.S.U.F. Fine arts. So close to graduating but had to get rid of a dork of a first husband. J/K but really...just married too young. I know a lot of us have been there and it's okay.....how were we supposed to know what we wanted? Workplace After I graduated from FIDM I drug my feet a little. Met my first husband while in college so my mind was on other things besides a career. While married I went back to college At CSFU to finally move in a career path of teaching art. Got all the way to a few semesters left and got divorced.I did meet my second husband and partner in crime there though. Sooooo I had to go back to work and drop out of college. I'm glad it happened that way though because I met the true love of my life and it lead me back to Nordstrom where I have been working in Visual Merchandising for the last 12 Years. I LOVE it and could not imagine being a teacher now although I think it's one of the most important jobs in the world. I'm currently the Visual manager at the Irvine Nordstrom. Your probabaly asking what Visual Merchandising is, well come on in and take a look around because the way the whole store looks is my gig. But on a flashback note, who can forget their first job? I can't....Taco Bell drive through baby. Would you like some cinnamim crispas with that? HI-larious!
