Eddie's Story
Life
Hey All,
Well I have now hit the 1/2 century mark and creeped by it. Why does everyone else look so young and I have all this gray hair?
My family has expanded since I last wrote, I now have a beautiful granddaughter named Sydney. She pretty much has grandpa wrapped around her fingers. Another milestone in life.
Abbie is now a sophomore at U of O and is active in the marching band. As a freshman she went to the bowl game in El Paso Texas, and went with both the girls and boys basketball teams to their tournaments playing with the band. It was quite a year for her!
It is nice to have just Carolyn and I at home with no kids. I thought it would be hard at first, but we are enjoying the time.
The granddaughter and her folks live close by so we get to spend alot of quality time with her.
Carolyn is still a member of the Hillsboro School Board and also serves on the National School Board. She is very active in the schools in the Hillsboro District.
I work for Plymart, Inc. in Boring, OR. I am the Administrative Vice President. I take care of all employee issues and ...Expand for more
work with the sales staff on our kitchen and bath cabinet line. I love my work, and look forward to being their every day.
I have also written a drama that the church has performed. It was really cool to see my written words come to life on the stage, it was truly awesome! I am working on two more dramas and in what time I can squeeze in to it I am writting a novel, who knows maybe someday, you will all get a copy?
I don't see many of the FGHS gang, I live near Greg McKelvey and his family, and see Tom Clock at school functions.
I attended the funeral last year of Lloyd Wells the wood shop teacher at Lincoln Jr. High and at Neil Armstrong until he retired in the mid 1980's. He and his wife had been good friends with my folks. Everytime I saw him he ask if I still had all my fingers, (Plymart is in the wood industries), I use to get a kick out of showing him that I still have all my fingers. Mr. Wells was on of my favorite teachers and my passions for working with wood, I lay directly at his feet.
I hope all is well with all of you, Take care and Lord Bless.
