Eddie's Story
Proud Father of Joe Martinez the new head football coach at Hueneme High, my Alma Mater. He's going to do a great job and I invite all Viking Alumni to get back in the game. It's going to be a fun ride.
I've been asked who's Eddie Martinez? I played football my frosh and JV years. I wasn't a stud athelete, but Joe and his brothers were, at Ventura High. Joe and Richard both won Ventura County defensive player of the years in 1997 and 2001.

I worked hauling lemons, then the U.S. Army, then carried money in armored cars, then spent a career in Law enforcement. I am retired and now work in the real estate industry. Maybe more work than retired.
My brush with fame came while I was working at the jail in Santa Barbara. I happened to be the Senior officer on duty when Michael Jackson came to jail. My Commander appointed me to handle him from entry to exit. Sorry for the bad mug shot.
I am remarried and living in Oxnard again after several years in Ventura
